About me

I was born in NYC and grew up in Queens. My parents are from Ecuador and I was the first American-born child in my family. Even though I have only 1 sibling, I was always surrounded by cousins since both of my parents came from very large families. Being the eldest, I was often the designated sitter. And I did enjoy the responsibility because it made me feel older. I left home at 20 and soon after was married and starting a family of my own. I was blessed with two sons and a stepson. I loved being a Mom and found myself missing those early years of childhood once the boys grew up. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked with the elderly for 7 years but decided that I would be happier working with children. I then started working in a preschool daycare program and eventually was able to work as a Nurse Assistant for two preschool clinics. After some changes in my life, I moved to New Jersey and began my career as a Nanny.

My first position as a Full-Time Nanny was a little challenging at first because I had one 18-month-old and twin 4-year-olds. I was responsible for everything that concerned the care of the children from drop-offs/pick-ups to school and activities, meals, bathing, playdates, reading and library visits, daily trips to the parks, etcetera. I also did chores at the home and ran errands. My next few positions all started with infants. I would care for them completely and work up to 55 hours.
I must say that every experience has been so rewarding. I have loved the bond built with each child and their families. To be there from the first few months of an infant's life and see them meet their milestones and blossom into these perfect little people full of life is what makes Nannying the best job ever.
