About me

Hello! My name is Meredith and I've been working with and learning from children for about 6 years! Originally from Minneapolis, MN, and Manhattan, NY I have a deep knowledge of how different cultural regions affect parenting and family styles. I was lucky enough to attend the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training program, where I graduated with a BFA in Acting, which is still a deep passion of mine. When the pandemic wiped out that area of my life, I turned to my already blossoming nanny career to sustain me and I can truly say children have been such a light in this dark time.

When it became clear to me that I had discovered another passion, I decided to head back to school to learn as much about child development as I could. I graduated in July of 2020 with my Montessori Assistant Certification in ages 0-6 from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and the Minnesota Montessori Centre. I was lucky enough to dip my toe into preschool classroom life here and that's an experience I cherish. My boyfriend had recently gotten a new job in Boston, so I left my old family of 3 years and started with a wonderful Boston-based family in September of 2020. I was with them until just recently when my boyfriend's job transferred him to NYC, where I have been babysitting and enjoying my time in this new place!

I have worked with children and families in every capacity: a travel nanny, full-time nanny, part-time nanny, on-call work, babysitting, household manager, you name it. I love to be a functioning member of a household and provide care to everything I touch during my shift. I go in with the philosophy that I'm there to help the children help themselves and that they have lots to teach me in that process!
