About me

I grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and I have been living in New York for about 22 years. I have three beautiful and smart daughters! When I was a child, I loved playing outside on rainy days, jumping in the puddles.

I completed two years of college (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Portuguese Language and Literature. In 2014/2015, I wanted to learn more about early childhood development, then I attended some classes at New York University: Childcare Management Certificate, I learned about:
-Child development-infants to five years old
-Discipline-Setting limits for toddlers to five years old
-Keeping Children Healthy and Safety- Nutrition and Environment
-Nurturing Social and Emotional Development in Early Childhood
-Helping Children Learn: Infants to five years old

And also I wanted to learn more about Music and Movement for children, then I did coursework: Zumbini Instructor, Music and Movement for 6 months old - 3 years old. I used to teach in a studio, on weekends, in Astoria, NY in 2018/2019. I have been working with children as a nanny for about 10 years in New York City area. I have worked with families to care for their first child since they were newborns to preschoolers, and looked after older siblings up to 9 years of age periodically. I have been responsible for all tasks related to the child and keeping them safe, healthy, engaged in music, crafts, outdoor and indoor activities, playdates, learning about nature, and making new friends. I love music, painting, drawing, long walking, exploring nature, and New York City. As a nanny I play on the floor with the kids with trains, cars, Legos, pretending to cook, being princes/Heroes. I love dancing with the kids to the music" The floor is Lava". I love learning new ways to engage with children and further their development, guiding them with confidence to explore their environment safely. I care about creating a safe space where children learn to communicate their needs and channel frustration into constructive communication I describe myself as a very calm person and the children I've cared for, respond very well to my nature, forming gentle behaviors and manners as they grow.
