About me
Hello everyone, my name is Maguette. I'm a bilingual nanny, fluent in French and English. I also know some Spanish and I love working with children in these languages, just one of the many things I enjoy sharing with the children I care for!
I grew up in Senegal, a country in West Africa, and I believe the education I got there made me the person I am today – a person with strong values and morals. Once I came to the US about 20 years ago, I immediately enrolled at Hudson Community College, receiving an associate degree in Liberal Arts. I then went on to earn a certificate as a nurse's assistant because I am extremely passionate about helping those in need! I was able to work as an assistant nurse for 2 years, with a focus on senior citizens with disabilities or mental health issues. It was then that I decided to become a nanny!
For the past 5 years, I've worked with families primarily with younger children, between the ages of 9 months to 11 years. I enjoy being a nanny for the same reasons that I enjoy working as a nurse: to nurture them, to help those in need, and ensure they become the best versions of themselves! Children brighten my day. They are full of energy and fun to be around, because every day is new and different.
As a mom myself, I understand how important it is to find the right person to take care of your children, and I would love to be that person for your family! I am very humble, patient, caring, kind, and a good listener. During my free time, I like to go to the movies, go for a workout at the gym to stay healthy, cook good meals, and spend time with my family and the kids I work with.
I look forward to meeting you.
