About me

I grew up in Michigan, the middle child of 3 and daughter to two engineers who met doing community theater. I experienced a variety of activities as a child, but my favorites were dance, theater, and figure skating! I graduated from Wellesley College with fulfilled pre-medical requirements and a degree in Theatre Studies. After 6 years in Boston, I recently moved to NYC to expand my opportunities.
I received my first babysitting job at the age of 11 and haven’t stopped since! After graduating college, my first part-time nanny position was caring for an 18 month old boy, and then for his younger sister from the age of 6 months until she entered preschool. We enjoyed exploring museums (and the subway!), messy art projects, and playing at the park. Similarly, my second part-time position was caring for an 18 month old boy, and then for his 6 month old sister. We had a blast singing and dancing, reading, and playing with plenty of trucks. Other responsibilities included washing dishes and folding laundry. My third part-time position was caring for a 6 month old girl for a summer and then for her 4 year old brother (bus stop pick-up, walking to circus school, practicing piano, and playing in the backyard). In addition to my part-time positions, I worked as a teacher and Event Manager at Kidville Wellesley, a children’s enrichment center, for 6 years. When the pandemic forced us to close our doors, I began a full-time nanny position caring for a 2 month old girl and her 22 month old brother. Our favorite activities included yoga, disco dance parties, trips to the library, and attending outdoor concerts and farmers markets. Other positions include 3 summers as a camp counselor for second graders and 3 summers as the drama teacher at a summer arts camp.
As someone with a mixed science and arts background, I’m fascinated by observations, experiments, and exploration - things kids do naturally! I love learning alongside my kids, whether it’s by exploring the modern art section of a museum (I find babies and toddlers appreciate abstract styles), collecting heart-shaped leaves at the park, or dancing to new music.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love making curated playlists for my kids - boy bands, pop divas, early 2000s country, Motown, etc. - and playing them through my disco ball stereo. Acting out stories like the Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, and the Three Billy Goats Gruff. Teaching dances with simple choreo like the Hokey Pokey, the Chicken Dance, and the Cupid Shuffle!
