About me

I was born and grew up in a small landlocked country whose philosophy for development is Gross National happiness. We are believed to be one of the happiest people on earth.
I did my graduation in business administration and came here to the US to study filmmaking. I tried Nanny to help me with my expenses and immediately fell in love with the job. Maybe it had to do with coming from a large family and also because I took care of my younger brother and nephews ( 3 (boys) of them). So it did feel close to home being part of a family.
Initially, I started my job as a live-in for almost 2 years and live out for 3 years as a nanny in the upper east side. I took care of a boy 7-year-old boy (2011). I would help him get ready for school and drop him off at the to bus stop. Take him to his after-school activities. I also did housekeeping. Preparing dinner, grocery shopping, running errands, and laundry.
I worked with this family for 5 years and changed my job to another family as their boy no longer needed a babysitter.

My second long-term family with whom I started my job in April 2016 has two boys. At that time 2 and 4 years old.
My responsibilities included school drop off and pick-ups. Scheduling playdates. Planning a fun day when they didn’t have school like taking them out to playground and museums or even movies. Meal preparation for them and laundry whenever needed. I would also make sure groceries were bought and stocked.
I also helped them with their homework and indulged them in fun educational activities. As one of them was Toddler. Everything is a teaching moment with kids.

I have a daughter who was born in November 2020. All these experiences have helped me shape the mother that I am today. For which I am forever grateful to this field. It has always been of the utmost importance for me to blend in with the system in which a family expects me to help them raise their child. And now that I am a mother I understand that more than ever.
