About me

Hello there! My name is Grace and I am currently based in New York City, pursuing my dream to be an actor! I graduated from Elon University with my BFA in Acting with a minor in Costume Design! I've been living in New York City since September and though I've lived in a couple of states in life, Raleigh NC is where I call home. I grew up raised by my wonder woman mother and my baby sister (truthfully only two years younger than me). We were an artsy, earthy, creative household accompanied by our wonderful golden retriever, Banks, and our snuggly cat, Busto. There, I was a true theatre kid, taking dance classes, voice lessons, acting in plays, and babysitting my neighbors of course. That side hustle in high school, along with my mom's career of being a fourth-grade teacher, really sparked my love for children.
Since my high school babysitting days, I've had a plethora of experiences with all kinds of families with all kinds of children. During the pandemic, the theatre industry was basically nonexistent so I spent my time nannying and waiting for my chance to pursue my dream. I've juggled multiple children (up to 6 children at once) for spring break, and I've cared for an infant as they rapidly grow out of their clothes. I have experience being a special needs nanny, a full-time nanny, a part-time nanny, and a live-in nanny! I've changed countless diapers, heated up probably 1000 chicken nuggets, and am well versed in all things pokemon and princesses. I am also CPR and first aid certified!
When it comes to children, there are so many things I aspire to teach them - helping them become kind, loving, and empathetic people. I like leading with love, compassion, and creativity. My nanny style is firm yet respectful, I love to laugh and have fun while also teaching them valuable lessons such as kindness, body autonomy, consent, sharing, and positive self-esteem. I truly think our children are our future and it's up to us to teach them accordingly in hopes they will grow up to make this world a better place.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years I hope to have a sense of consistency in my life that I haven't felt in a while. I hope to feel artistically fulfilled and stable in the meaningful relationships I have developed. I hope to still be pursuing my acting dream and if I have forged a new path for myself, I hope to be happy and content in that decision. I hope to still be filled with hope for my future, love, and fun times.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to foster and develop the different interests the specific child has whether that be chess or dancing. I love to read and expose them to the magic of a great book or audio story. I like to play outside and play whether that be swimming, throwing snowballs, or doing my very best (though unathletic as I might be) at the sport they like to play. I like to do educational games as well as creative activities such as baking, playing make-believe, arts and crafts, getting messy, and teaching children how to be communicative, fun-loving humans.
