About me

Hello! My name is Kiara. I grew up in Brooklyn, but have been living in Harlem the last couple of years. I'm currently a part time college student majoring in finance. I attend CUNY Baruch College and am expected to graduate in May 2025. I’ve been working in childcare for as long as I can remember, the last 5 years being professionally.

My most recent job was as an infant nanny for new parents. I took care of him from when he was 6 weeks old to one year. My responsibilities included feeding, changing and age appropriate interactive play such as tummy time or puppet shows. When it was nice outside we would take walks to the park and get some fresh air. I have also nannied for a family of seven. The family consisted of a set of five month old twin boys, a set of five year old school aged kids (boy and girl) and a 12 year old tween boy. I was there nanny for three years and would often prepare meals, help with homework, cater to the babies as well as keep a fun and safe environment for all the siblings while their parents worked. We would also take trips to the local park or zoo.

I had an affinity for children at a early age. I loved babysitting my nieces and nephews, especially during the summer. I love kids which makes nannying feel like less of a job and more of a play date. I love how competitive children can get because I’m the same way lol. Hopefully one day I get to meet your family.
