About me

Hi, my name is Shery! I was born and raised in New York City. I have three other siblings from my father's side. I was raised by my grandmother as an only child. I currently try to stay up to date in learning new skills and take courses to expand my learning to provide the best care for children.
I have thirteen years working with various age groups. I started as a camp counselor and moved on to after school tutor. This company as well gave me a leadership role. I also worked at a home-based daycare for three years, and I had to follow a curriculum and daily activities. I then decided to become a nanny! I thus far have worked for three loving families. I stated with a four-month-old child. I did light housekeeping, worked on gross and motor skills and all necessities for the child. My second family was two children starting ages four months old and 3 years old. I was with this family for three years I cared to plan activities, meal prep, and after-school pickup. I taught the children Spanish, becoming independent and becoming a positive influence for them. I keep up to date with CPR and first aid certifications and take child development courses.

I love to explore and learn and children create and provide just that for me. Children give you true love and constantly teach you new things as well! I believe in teaching children from a young age to be confident and independent. This gives me opportunities to connect with parents and work as a team where we nurture and create a bond.
