About me

Hi!
My name is Madelyn Land! I am from Cincinnati Ohio, and I am in fact in love with Skyline Chili! I grew up with three brothers and spent every day singing and dancing, and was fortunate enough to have my entire family’s support the whole time. I carried my love of musical theatre with me through high school where I went to Mount Notre Dame and then to college where I obtained a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana! I then decided to move to the big apple and live out of dream of being an actress in this city! Throughout my life, I was surrounded with people that inspired me to perform, be creative, and be happy, and I think that explains why I love doing that for children, myself! I love being creative with kids and learning new things through them and I think that has to do with all the amazing people I was blessed with doing that for me in my life!

I have worked with kids of all ages and am lucky enough to have a lot of experience with these different age groups. Two families that I worked with, I was with for long term (4 years) and had similar duties within each job. With the first family, I watched over one boy and one girl. I did light house keeping, prepared food, helped the kids with school work, and made sure they were bathed and ready for bed at the parent’s request! The second family, I worked with two girls that were a little older and we were able to finish school work right away, and have more time for creative activities like coming up with dances and talking about anything they wanted! I also did light house keeping and mads sure the girls were asleep according to the schedule. Other experiences that I have had has been working for several various kids camp and having the opportunity to teach kids and lead them in group settings! It called for good communication, good organization, and a positive attitude. These are skills I also learned while I had other jobs like being a server, a host, and a stage performer!

I think the reason I love working with kids so much, has to do a lot with how I was raised! I am very passionate about the arts and love being creative, especially when it comes to kids!
