About me

I grew up in a beautiful, small town in California alongside my older sister who I am still very close with. I come from a large extended family and have been around babies and children my entire life. As a child, I participated in multiple extracurricular activities which included tap dancing, softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. I babysat children from ages 2-10 in my teen years while volunteering and eventually working for the city as a recreation leader where I created community events for the youth. I became fluent in American Sign Language and played sports all throughout my school years until I went to university with an academic scholarship to Arizona State University. I continued to work as a camp counselor (ages 5-14) during my summers off and graduated a semester early, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Film & Media Productions. I began working at a medical clinic while I awaited graduate school enrollment where I planned on becoming a therapist for the hearing and the deaf. During this time I was a nanny for a newborn (0-2 months) and continued to pursue to my passion for film and television. I received an opportunity to work on a television show, and with support and encouragement from my family, I decided to seize the opportunity and reassess graduate school at a later time. I began working as a production assistant on a television show which turned into a career working in various facets of the entertainment industry for the last nine years. I moved to NY in 2018, continued my career in production, and became a member of the Cuddler Care program at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. I volunteered once a week until the March 2020 shutdown and have greatly missed my time in the NICU since then. I am currently in between television productions as a producer and am looking for occasional, consistent, and/or temporary babysitting opportunities. I am fully vaccinated, boosted, and voluntarily get covid tested on a regular basis to ensure I am staying healthy and safe. I truly enjoy interacting and caring for children of all ages and look forward to meeting more families in my community!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years I hope to be a mother with children of my own! I have dreamed of starting a family for years and am hopeful this is to come in the near future. I also have aspirations to complete the New York Marathon, own a home, and write a book of my own! Above all, I hope that in 5 years I am healthy, happy, and am continuing to create memories with my friends and family.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I am fluent in American Sign Language and love teaching and sharing this with children of ALL ages (newborns and babies included). It is absolutely amazing to watch children communicate with their hands before they can speak! I love to do arts and crafts, encourage children to express themselves through music and dance, and create fun, engaging activities to teach them to be active with their minds and their bodies. I feel that every child is different and has their own, unique way of receiving and processing information. Thus, I feel it's imperative to have a custom approach that best fits each child and to consistently have mindful check-ins to make sure their needs are continually being met.
