About me

I was raised in central Florida. My family is big and loud and Italian. My childhood was spent playing with my cousins and walking down the street to my grandma's house to have tea and a coffee cake. A huge part of my childhood was Girl Scouts - I proudly sold the most cookies in my troop every year! I studied Social Work at Florida State University, focusing on maternal and child health. Since graduating in 2016, I've been a full-time nanny for two families, traveled to Southeast Asia to serve in birth centers, and am a volunteer doula for pregnant refugee women.

My college summers were spent as a camp counselor in North Carolina. I was able to build lasting relationships with girls ages 5-17. In Tallahassee, I served at a maternity home for homeless women. My favorite part of this experience was spending time with new moms and getting to care for infants. I promoted language development skills through reading and storytelling, prepared bottles, and changed many diapers.

After graduation, I moved to Atlanta and began my first full-time nannying position for a family of 5 (ages 4, 9, 11). My duties included transportation, meal preparation, homework assistance, schedule management, and facilitating activities. I left this position after one year to travel to Australia and Asia for a volunteer commitment. In January 2018, I became a nanny for a vibrant and constantly on-the-go family of 5, with 4, 8, and 11-year-old children. A typical school day is followed by a busy schedule of dance rehearsal, basketball practice, and horseback riding lessons, in which I handle all transportation and scheduling. Summer days are just as packed but look much different - mornings are spent in the pool, afternoons consist of bike rides, trips to the zoo, pottery classes, etc.
Along with providing care for children, my priority is supporting parents. I manage everyone's schedules and grocery shopping, laundry, errands, and preparing meals. During the first three months of the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked as a live-in nanny. I have also traveled internationally with this family and was available 24/7.

My number one priority when it comes to being a nanny of brilliant yet impressionable children is to meet them where they are and treat them with kindness and respect. When I think back on my childhood, the memories that stick out the most are when I felt included, encouraged, and capable. Each moment with a child is an opportunity to empower them to become people who are curious and compassionate, never afraid to ask a question, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

thriving in a vibrant city, fulfilled, and proud of the choices I've made over the last 5 years. I'd love to find a nanny family that I can pour my heart and energy into, while filling our days with laughter. I would like to travel abroad and further my education in the realm of maternal and child health.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love spending time outside, especially because the options are endless! Playgrounds, bike rides, nature walks, roller skating, and scavenger hunts are a few of my favorite outdoor activities. I also love reading and storytelling, skits, every kind of craft, baking, and board games. As far as outings go, it's always fun going to the zoo or aquarium, a trampoline park, an arcade, or a painting and pottery class. I truly love spending time with kids, and I have a blast getting to experience so many activities alongside them!
