About me

I grew up in Medellin, Colombia with 2 older siblings, my sister Angela and brother Enrique. What I enjoyed as a child was roller skating, playing outside with friends, and playing with dolls. I graduated from FUNLAM university in Medellin, Colombia, and obtained a degree in psychology. Since graduating I immigrated to the United States and started my career as a nanny. I’ve been constantly pursuing education which enhanced my background in psychology and child caring.

I have worked with children for 20 years. I have taken care of children from ages 0 to12 years old. The responsibilities I had were potty training, driving them to school and other extracurricular activities, teaching Spanish, changing diapers, making and preparing meals, and playing games with musical tools, puzzles, and books. Some of my titles include nanny and babysitter. I have great infant experience, I’ve raised 2 children of my own and nannied many children under a year old including newborns. Some special skills that I have are being bilingual (Spanish and English) and being CPR certified. I’m also licensed in Family Home Daycare.

As a psychologist, it’s of great interest to put attention to the emotional development of children so that they are able to drive their emotions in an assertive and positive way.
