About me

My name is Julissa and I grew up in New Hyde Park with two sisters. I attended Mount Saint Marys and studied various child development classes. During this time my love for children grew and I decided to pursue my role as a nanny that has maintained for 10+ years. My role is to be an extension of exactly what parents want for their children so that they maintain a sense of consistent love & support while they are away.

I worked with various families ranging from the ages 1 month to 12 years old. Each age has different adversities and positive aspects, which has taught me exceptional organizational skills and patience. I’m immensely passionate about what I do and go above and beyond the scope of parent's requirements. This entails working well with schedules and flexibility. I value good communication and always keep parents informed on their child's day. My duties as a nanny included the following:
• Organize children’s rooms and closets, playrooms, common areas daily
• Aided in bathing and dressing-morning and bedtime routine
• Responsible for light housework including laundry and meal preparation/kitchen cleanup
• Pack and make lists for travel/holidays + traveled with the family domestically and internationally
• Transport to and from after-school activities, play dates, and appointments
• Prepared healthy meals for children
• Play with children both indoors and outdoors, when weather was permissible
• Teach children behavior skills and social manners, such as engaging with other children
• Assist family in potty training and change diapers
• Administer medicine when child was sick

As a nanny I’m motivated to be an integral part of a child’s development, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow and progress under my care. My philosophy as a nanny is working as a team. Helping busy parents enjoy their time with their children by helping to ease the day-to-day responsibilities of their care is what makes me feel successful.
