About me
I grew up in Frisco, Texas with my parents, older sister, two younger sisters, four dogs, and four cats. I graduated from private high school in May of 2018 and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication and PR from Belmont University this May. Currently, I am participating in Belmont's New York program and interning in the city at a PR firm called Southard Communications! I love to have fun and be creative in my free time, which is part of why I feel so called to childcare. Children bring so much refreshing joy, play and free-spiritedness into life. I love being around them and being reminded to appreciate the little things and make time for fun.
I have worked with children for 6 years- I started babysitting as soon as I got my driver's license at 16. I have worked with a wide range of children, from 4 months to 13 years old. I've cared for large families with 4 kids, small families with 1 kid, families with twins, infants, and all sorts of pets. I have been a wearer of many hats: nanny, part-time babysitter, date night sitter, helper of homework and online school, and playtime expert. In my roles, I typically help prepare meals, change diapers, bottle feed, take care of light housekeeping, dishes and laundry, read books, go for walks, play in the park, look after pets, help with homework and online school, put down for naps and for bed, and of course, have lots of fun with toys, crafts, and imagination.
I love to do all things creative and adventurous. My favorite activities are reading, photography, going for long walks, drawing, journaling, and traveling. I believe in seeing the beauty and joy in all things, and am often reminded to do so by children. I think children have the best outlook on the world; their view through rose-colored lenses is pure, sweet, and simple, reminding me to not take things so seriously. Children are the future, and I believe taking great care to make them feel loved, seen and appreciated is the biggest responsibility. I take my responsibility very seriously and do my best to help them get where they need to be.
