About me
I grew up in Tribeca with my two siblings with who I am still very close, and now have three nieces and nephews whom I adore. As a child, I enjoyed all artistic activities, as well as gymnastics, swimming, and even trapezing! A childhood passion that has persisted into adulthood is cooking and baking- it is an everlasting love that I incorporate into my work with children. In 2021 I graduated with high honors from NYU, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology. I pursued many courses that related to childhood development, as I have always had an affinity for children.
I have worked with children in some capacity for most of my life. As a teenager, I babysat for several families in my building over the course of four years- it was and still is a privilege to watch them grow (most are in high-school now!). I also sought out child-centered volunteer work throughout NYC, including artistic after-school programs and literacy workshops for inner-city kids. I have been both a full and part-time primary live-out caregiver for ages ranging from three months to sixteen years old. One family who I worked with for almost two years had three girls (3m, 3y, and 5y), and given that they were from Paris, and I was their guide to American life! My primary responsibilities included household management, after-school commitments, creating age-appropriate developmental projects, and, most importantly, ensuring that the children’s physical, mental, emotional needs were met.
As a hands-on, present, energetic, and highly principled young woman, children and I are naturally drawn to one another. I consider myself a Jane-of-all-trades, as I am ready, willing, and able to take on any task or activity. I go above and beyond to ensure the children’s health, happiness, and safety, while also contributing to the whole family. Through establishing clear boundaries in line with the parents’ philosophies, children are comforted by a sense of security and consistency. Each child is unique, and I draw upon my wealth of experience to figure out how to connect with them in fulfilling ways, creating an authentic relationship in which I am a role model, secure base, and friend.
