About me

Hello!
My name is Aasha and I live on the Upper West Side. I am a nanny in search of a full time position and I am open to weekend hours. I can start as soon as possible. I'm eagerly looking to join another family as a full time live in or live out nanny with availability to also work on the weekends. During my most recent positions I worked 10/12 hours days as well as travel. I have a BS in Child Psychology, I can commit to four years and I'm flexible to extend. I have a child led learning- Montessori approach and I encourage pretend play. I'm a lover of languages, music, the arts, and creativity! I'm a warm and gentle person but definitely firm when need be, when it comes to discipline I like to maintain what the parents have already started. I personally follow gentle and respectful parenting techniques of discipline and communication. I also cook and clean for the entire family. I can speak Mandarin, German and French. I believe I'm the perfect fit because I'm proactive, well trained and very gentle. I have the professionalism to keep up with a busy household (and keep everything clean!) and the tenderness to help raise gentle, kind and curious children. I have eleven years of experience as a nanny with children ages 0-14 years. I also have experience working with children between the ages 18 months-2 when I was working in a Montessori school in Koln Germany. I mostly have experienced with multiples (2+). I'm an amazing cook and can get picky eaters to eat just about anything! I can also teach your children the instruments I'm classically trained in (viola, violin, cello) . I hope to meet you soon.
