About me

I am Niyati Chhetri a small-town girl from a beautiful hill station known for it's world-famous tea and spectacular view. I am an only child but was lucky enough to grow up with my cousins as they live nearby. As a child, I loved going to my dad's soccer games with my mom and cheering for him. I love and enjoy the outdoors and one thing I loved as a child and still do is hiking and exploring the mountains. I got my high school diploma from St.Joseph's High School and completed my Hospitality diploma from the International Institute of Hotel Management. Through this hospitality program, I got the opportunity to intern in Playa Largo Resort And Spa Autograph Collection in key Largo, Florida as a culinary intern. After the internship was over I moved to New York for further studies since I did not see myself growing in that field. Now I am enrolled in Laguardia Community College studying to become a nurse.

I have worked in child care for almost three years now. I first started as a part-time nanny with a 2-year-old boy who is 4 now and has moved to Denver. I would take him to the playground, other activities, prepare meals and snacks, change diapers and assist in the process of potty training. Later accompanied him to school and stayed with him throughout to help him communicate and explore with his classmates. After working for this family for some months I worked as a part-time nanny for a 5-year-old girl who is 7 now. While I still worked as a part-time nanny for the previous family twice a week for 4 hours a day and some occasional date nights. I buy groceries and meal prep for the family. Assist the child to and from school, after-school activities, doctor and family visits, with reading, writing, swimming, and biking. I also worked as a live-in nanny in summer as the child spends her summer with her grandparents in the Hamptons. Between these two families, I have worked with several families as a part-time nanny, babysitter, and date night sitter. I am CPR certified and speak Hindi and Nepali.

I am a warm, positive, and fun-loving person and bring the same attitude to work. I believe that children are like clay, one can mold them to be better citizens of the world.
