About me

I grew up in Blauvelt, New York in a family of 6, so I am well-equipped for chaos. I have an older sister and 2 younger siblings whom I began caring for when I was 6 years old. I grew up vigorously pursuing ballet and dabbling in lots of other hobbies along the way. I went to Rockland Community College where I got an associate's degree with a focus in Science and Social Science. I worked as a professional ballet dancer for 2 years. When Covid hit, I was traveling, so I bunkered down on a farm in Northern California where I learned about herbalism and farming and gained an immense appreciation for nature and its ability to regulate the nervous system. Since then, I have been excited to share that appreciation for nature with children I have the opportunity to care for, and it has been a great pleasure to watch them making a connection with the earth. I have always been very maternal and empathic, so childcare has come naturally to me.

I have worked with children of all ages and a wide variety of parents from nervous new parents to ones with 4 children who just need some time to themselves. I’ve been focusing more on infant and toddler care for the past couple of years. I have experience with bottle feeding, sleep training, transitioning to solid foods, aiding in reaching developmental milestones, baby sign language, etc. I have knowledge of CPR and First Aid. I’ve worked part-time, full-time, temp, long-term, date nights. I’ve kept a great relationship and stayed in touch with many of the families I’ve worked with and love seeing how the children have grown.

My goal when caring for children is to help provide stability, structure, and routine, while also encouraging them to push the boundaries of their creativity and let their ideas run rampant. I believe it is so important to make sure that children feel respected and seen because they will return the respect and understanding that they are shown. It brings me great fulfillment to facilitate an environment for children to grow and flourish in.
