About me
I come from Louisville, Kentucky where I had the opportunity to work with children at Southeast Weekday Childcare for four years. There, I was able to teach and work with children of all ages. It was there that I discovered my love for working with children! While studying theatre at Stephens College I continued to watch children and babysit for families of all ages. After graduating with a BFA in Theatre Arts and a minor in music, I moved to New York City to pursue theatre and music. While in New York City, I worked at New York Kids Club as a special events team manager! I had the opportunity to sing, dance, and entertain children of all ages at children’s Birthday Parties, PJ parties, and our parent/children events! In addition to teaching, I have been a babysitter for over eight years.
After living in NYC for six years, I moved across country to Los Angeles, CA and am attending graduate school at Emerson College majoring in Communication Disorders. My plan is to become a medical speech language pathologist.
While babysitting, I love to support and encourage children’s creativity. Since I work in theatre, I understand the importance of using your imagination and providing a positive atmosphere as well as structured one to express oneself! I am a very active person and love running, hiking, bike riding, and dance. Along with theatre, I love reading, music, and visiting museums. One of my favorite activities to do while babysitting is to read and play dress up. I love helping children express their creativity!
