About me

I grew up in American Fork, Utah. I had a great childhood since my parents were very big on creating lifetime memories of family time and traveling! I have two older siblings whom I am very close with. I’m the baby of the family! I have always enjoyed the arts as a child. Music, acting in plays, drawing, writing, sewing, and fashion were my top interests my whole life and still are! Luckily, I became an auntie at a young age so my nieces and nephews are my whole world. Getting to see them and play with them is always a highlight for me. I graduated high school in 2019 and attended two semesters of fashion school at the Salt Lake Community College focusing on costume design as a career. And I’ve wanted to become a long term caregiver to a family of great kids for as long as I can remember! I’ve always been a creative person with a passion for learning and I hope to share those interests with the children I care for!
From babysitting the neighborhood kids starting around age 11, I have enjoyed being around kids since I never got to have younger siblings to play with. My senior year, I had the opportunity to teach an after-school program in a studio for kids. I taught art a few times a week for ages 7-12. Mixing my favorite hobby and talents in with education for kids was a great experience for me, which lead me to a job at Thanksgiving Point (a complex of children’s museums) where I was an “education explorer.” My job duties were holding little classes about art, science, and music. I even got to host birthday parties at the museum venues, which was my favorite part of the job.
Summer of 2019 I nannied 4 kids, all under the age of 10. We played games, colored, played at the park, did sidewalk chalk, all while their mother ran errands. My most recent child-related job was at an Elementary school as a teacher’s aide. I was a tutor for 4th grade and Kindergarten and hosted “booster club” for the students that were struggling with school work. Working with children is so rewarding. It’s so fascinating watching them progress and learn so much everyday and I want to be able to facilitate that!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Still living in New York City, traveling, finished with school and working as costume designer for film or TV, and hopefully still with a long-term nanny family, forming a trusting and close relationship with all of the members!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Definitely anything art related! Painting, drawing, crafts, clay, coloring, and stop motion movie making! I love making cool things and teaching kids how! Working together on something creative and sharing my love for the arts is very rewarding for me, and the children. I want them to know that anyone can be an artist and make something beautiful. And sometimes, making messes is encouraged! (And obviously teamwork of thorough clean up afterwards!)
