About me
Hi, I’m Mal! I am an Atlanta-born, NY-raised current student at Albright College studying Sociology/ French! As a child, I love to read, dance, and perform, all of which I still love to do! I am the oldest of 4 kids, 2 brothers, and a little sister, so the motherly role was given to me involuntarily, but I wore it well! I would love to use my degree to open adequate childcare centers in territories of Overseas France.
I am full of energy and life and love taking care of young children. I have been caretaking for six years and have a real passion for teaching children during some of the most crucial years of their lives. I am CPR/ First-Aid certified and trained to administer an epi-pen as well. I have five years of infant experience, six years of toddler experience, and four years of early school age experience ( Aged 4-6). I have experience prepping meals, making bottles, or snacks as well as potty training, putting a child to sleep, nap training, and doing laundry. I have tons of experience with private families as well as in the workplace for I was an associate teacher at Bright Horizons. I have held positions as both a part-time babysitter and part-time associate teacher.
As an educator, I will value and nurture each child's strengths, interests, skills, abilities, and knowledge in order to extend their learning. Children, in my opinion, learn through play and experience. I love to dance and do new, adventurous, hands-on activities
which I believe further connects my love for children.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
Being Communicative and using your words when a child wants to express something. Taking on Challenges: it’s important for children to learn how to problem solve on their own with assistance. Self-Directed hands on learning: A child who is experiencing and feeling things out for themself will adapt and grow from these hands on experiences. Fairness: putting things into perspective from another point of view for children is important so they can learn to view a challenge or problem from all sides
