About me

My name is Genesis Hernandez I am 28 years old,I was born in the Dominican Republic but I moved to the United States when I was 10 Years old. I am the older child of two, I have one younger bother. As a child I enjoyed going on trips with my family and I still do till this day. I worked in a restaurant for a few years but still babysat occasionally as a side job. I am currently going to LaGuardia Community College and I am studying Sociology. I will be graduating in Spring 2022. I believe that sociology has helped me understand more the way kids act and the way they behave.
I've been working with children for some years and they were all different ages. I worked with one year olds that ended when he was two years old, responsibilities were to prepare lunch, feed, change diapers, bathe, play and take the child to the park. Incas a full time babysitter at the time. I also speak Spanish with is something the family I worked with before loved.
The things I love to do that connect with my love of children is being ablest teach them new things, for example, I love teaching them Spanish. The thing that pushed me to work with kids was when in took a summer job as a summer camp counselor.
