About me

I am a New York native and grew up in the heart of Upper Manhattan. I have always enjoyed interacting with children, as I am a younger child of 2. Growing up, my brother and I would use our imagination to create educational based games. Considering our age gap, I was always learning positive ways to communicate. As I got older, I developed a profound love for working with kids which led me to pursue a degree in childhood developmental psychology at Pace University. I am currently in my third year of college and plan to incorporate the information I have acquired in my courses to make learning and interacting fun.
I have been able to work with a varied age range of children throughout my youth. I have worked in a Daycare where we would engage the children in learning about communication skills, provide food, change diapers, potty train, and much more. There I was able to initially gain experience in caring for children. I was then employed at the YM-YWHA as a teacher's aid and I would also babysit after work for two different families. My job description for both families included After school picks up, snacks, preparing dinner meals, occasionally helping prepare for bedtime, reading bedtime stories, bathing, speaking sign language, preparing bottles, diaper change, tummy time, reinforced nap-time, washing baby linen, coordinating play dates at the park, and making sure the baby’s space was sterilized. I applied my bilingual skills with older children and communicated through sign language with infants.
I am a firm believer that children are the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, I believe positive communication, understanding, and interaction are highly impactful. Generating their creative outlet through arts and crafts helps children express themselves in a unique way. I love to encourage reading and building using recycled materials. I believe if we reinforce support in a healthy, and positive way while also radiating love then we can help shape children to be leaders of a better and innovative world.
