About me

I grew up in New Jersey until I was 14 when my family moved to Southern California. After moving I spent as much time possible going to the beach or going for hikes. I also loved to bake and cook. I went to Parsons School of Design in New York where I received an associate degree in Interior Design. After, I moved to Chicago where I worked in the interior design industry for the last 3 years. This past year I felt unhappy in the industry I decided to make a change. After a lot of thought I realized I am happiest when I am working with children. I am currently studying to earn a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

In high school I worked for multiple families as a date night babysitter. The age ranges of the kids varied from 3 weeks to 10 years old and most of the families had 2-3 kids. After high school I had two consistent babysitting jobs for the six months leading up to when I went to college. I began watching a 2-month-old girl on weekday mornings. I would feed her, change her, take her for walks, play with her and get her down for a nap. I also did this once a week in the afternoon for a 3-week-old boy and performed similar tasks while caring for him. I continued babysitting when I moved to New York. I assisted a family who had two boys ages 2 and 5. I was a date night sitter for them which included making them dinner, playing with them, getting them ready for bed and to sleep. I also worked for another family who has a 4-month-old boy. I was their regular date night sitter for 3 years in which time they had two more children a boy and a girl. This past summer I reconnected with this family while on the East coast and babysat for them again. I came over once a week to watch and play with their daughter now 3. I also watched all three of the children 7,5 and 3 as a date night sitter.

I have always loved being around and working with babies and children. As I went back to school for early childhood education it has shown me how important early childhood is and how influential those around young children are to them. It is important to me that I can be a positive influence in babies and children lives and help to nurture their development.
