About me

Hi! My name is Leandra Pollidore. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY all my life. I have my First Aid and CPR certifications. I have taken care of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. And have worked for private families in Brooklyn and Manhattan. I absolutely love children, especially babies! I engage very well with children I just met. In my care children are my upmost priority, creating a loving, safe, and warm environment for them. I am very well organized, a great communicator and well versed with ages and stages of their childhood development.
Taking care of an infant and helping an infant develop their academic skills I engage in tummy time, baby weening, reading lots of books, singing to the baby, taking to baby classes, taking walks in the park. I love being outside. As an infant transitions to older stages, I use small patterns with colors and shapes. As well as prep organic nutritious meals such as steamed/boiled veggies, alongside fruit purees.
I've engaged toddlers and preschoolers with lots of educational games such as puzzles, arts and crafts projects, small scavenger hunts, building blocks such as mega blocks, magna tiles, and Legos. I also do lots of story time and use props to make their reading experience fun. I also like to plan playdates or fun day trips to museums, zoo, picnics in the park.
I've maintained sleep, food, and potty training. As well and assisting with bath and bedtime. And occasional I've helped escort kids to dentist/doctor visits.
During kids nap times I assist in light house chores pertaining to them only. I help do their laundry, tidy up their play area by wiping down toys and books. I sterilize baby bottles and pacifiers. Organize their chest of drawers and closets. Prep light meals and snacks and bottles.
I really enjoy being a nanny because I love seeing the world through kids' eyes.

In my spare time I do lots of journaling. I plan on writing a children's book i the near future.
