About me

I grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. I am southern through and through. I have three older sisters. I am the youngest of all my siblings. As a child I loved to draw, sing and play outside. When I was in college I studied fashion design and art history. I went to Pratt Institute and The Fashion Institute of Technology. Since I've left school I've been working on my first fashion collection. My background in art and design helps me connect with children. Art in many ways is a universal language. I have been working with children since I was in high school. I have a ton of cousins, nieces and nephews I have been taking care of since they were babies. I've worked at two babysitting/nanny agencies since 2018 and have worked with families outside of that. I have taken care of children as young as five months to children as old as thirteen years old. I have experience in changing diapers, making bottles, and making lunches. I have experience taking kids on trips to the park and museums. A lot of my childcare experience is with toddlers. I worked with a family with two children since they were two and three. I taught them about all types of art like animation and collage. I taught them a lot about music. I would throw them little dance parties. It was a lot of fun. I have been an art sitter, babysitter, and nanny. In regards to special skills I can sing, paint, knit, and make animations. i also love to cook In my personal life I love making art and clothes. I enjoy watching movies and going to museums. I am an avid art lover. I think children need art. I believe art shapes the world. I learned a lot about taking care of children from my mother. She was delicate and soft when she needed to be and stern when she needed to be. i believe I am the same.
