About me

The summer after my 6th-grade year an opportunity was presented to me to work with children at my local swim and athletic club. When I was in 5th grade I was in a program that partnered me up with a kindergartner to help them learn how to read so I had a tiny bit of experience with kids. That pushed me to take the volunteer position at Granite Falls, my local swim and athletic club. For the next 5 summers, I was a camp counselor in training and I absolutely loved everything about it. When I finally got hired on my 16th birthday in March of 2018 I started working in the Kidzone, which was the area the parents could drop their children off to play while they worked out. I worked that job after school a couple of times a week, and once a month on Fridays we would have parents' night out. When covid struck we had to shut down the club in March of 2020 but once May came around we, safely, resumed our activities, and summer camp started. I worked full time as a summer camp counselor the summer of 2020 and once August came around and the schools had decided to remind online we started a new program called learning lab where the kids that we knew from the club could come and get help with their schoolwork and take swim lessons and do other fun camp activities. I worked that until all of the kids went back in person in April of 2021 where I switched back to Kidzone but this time in the mornings. Once May of 2021 came around I returned back outside to summer camp and did that full time until this past August when I moved up to NYC.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I moved up to NYC to pursue a career in modeling so hopefully, in 5 years I will be a full-time model.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I consider myself an artistic person and I love arts and crafts and I love sharing that with the kids I work with. There's so much that you can make with some paper and glue and I think it teaches critical thinking skills to children.
