About me

Though I’m from Long Island originally, my family lived in Manhattan for six years before moving to Florida. I came back to the city for college and have been here ever since! When I was five years old I fell in love with acting and after graduating high school I went on to study Theatre at New York University.

I have always loved working with children. When I was in high school I became a counselor in training at my summer camp so that I could work with the younger kids. In college I began babysitting in my free time which lead to my becoming a full time nanny. I’ve mainly worked with two families over the past five years and I have loved every minute of it. The first family hired me at the beginning of 2015 after I graduated college as their nanny for their then three year old (she’s now almost ten!). They later had a second child (who is now four) and I loved getting to watch him grow and learn. My responsibilities included pick up from school, setting up playdates, going to after school activities, making meals, running errands, planning outings (the Met was a favorite of ours), and generally helping out around the house. I love reading and being creative so I tried to incorporate both into our everyday routine. In the past few years I’ve also worked with another family as their weekly date night sitter. They have three children who were six, nine, and twelve when I started. I would pick the children up either from school or the bus stop, walk them home, prepare a snack/dinner, help out with homework, go on outings or playdates, and ensure that the children were going to bed on time. Again I tried to incorporate my love of reading and being creative in whatever time we had leftover. Their youngest loves legos and board games so we spent a lot of time playing Life and Monopoly.

Kindness and the ability to be creative are two of the most important things to me. The world can always use a little more kindness and I believe it’s important to nurture children’s creativity and encourage them to use their imaginations.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

happy in whatever line of work I end up in. Whether it's acting or working with children I hope to inspire others and spread joy and kindness to those I come into contact with.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love doing arts and crafts and finding special projects to do with the children I babysit. Whether it's painting a picture or baking, I always want the children I work with to have fun and maybe learn something new.
