About me

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY as a middle child. I went to school for politics and I am a recent college graduate. However, I realized that I genuinely always had a passion for working and being around children. During my college years, I worked at different jobs that required child care such as babysitting, counselor at an after school program and a Sunday School teacher in my church.

As a middle child of 3 children, I practically raised my younger sibling, who has autism. I spent my high school years/college years babysitting him and working at Kids Orbit, an after school program for elementary children. During college, I was employed at the afternoon childcare program (40 children, ages 5-10). I also spent those years privately babysitting this age group through the after school program. I had a consistent after school babysitting job with 5 different families of two girls ages 5 and 7 along with 3 boys ages 5,7 and 8. Duties included picking the children up from school, providing a snack, homework help, meal prepping, outside play time and putting them down for bed.This job included babysitting these children during days off from school, date nights on the weekends and holidays especially when parents were out of town.

Working with children have brought the "child in me". Working with them have also exposed my qualities in terms of patience, creativity, activeness etc. My goal is to help children understand that they are children and they should be happy and as imaginative as possible. I also want to teach them to love themselves and the world that they reside in. I believe if we really hone in on this and be mindful and loving when we raise our children, they can grow up to be outstanding beings of the world. I'd definitely love to contribute to this.
