About me

I was born in Jamaica. My love, enthusiasm and passion for children came about from the fact that I am from a huge family background (I am the eldest of 8 siblings). I have had the luxury of always having a new niece or nephew to snuggle with. Being around children gives me one of the best feelings in the world. I am a certified newborn care specialist and a certified sleep trainer, also CPR trained. I am very passionate about providing care which has now lead me to be pursing a career as a registered nurse.

I have over 10 years experience providing care for newborns to 5 year old, where my responsibilities have included: ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, diapering, feeding (including breastfeed assistance, bottle preparation and sterilization), taking children to parks and walks for external stimulation, preparing delicious and nutritious meals, singing and reading, puzzles, drawing, and painting. I also have done light housekeeping (cleaning up after myself and children).

As a child care provider, it is extremely gratifying and honoring when families invite me into one of the most intimate and life changing moments of their lives. Providing assistance , answering questions and encouraging parents brings me much joy and self fulfillment. I absolutely love the fact that I have the ability to play an integral role in a child's growth and development. It is very rewarding to watch a child grow and develop while in my care.

It is my intent as a childcare provider to grasp any opportunity that will help parents obtain a satisfying and memorable experience with their child or children.
