About me

I grew up in Durham, North Carolina, with musician parents and one older brother. As a kid, I loved art and music, drawing every day and taking piano lessons. I graduated from UW-Madison in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in painting, and art and creativity are still a huge part of my life. Since graduating, I've spent as much time as I can painting, alongside working mostly in childcare and service. I believe that kids are some of the world’s greatest artists!

I have worked with children of all ages in various capacities, including as a swim instructor, camp counselor, art teacher, and nanny. I especially enjoy doing art projects with children and working on literacy. My nanny work with various families began in 2015 and continues to the present day. I have experience with after school care, weekend care, and overnight care. As a kid, I often had babysitters who were unengaged, and because of this, I love to be fully engaged with the kids I take care of, from playing with them to planning structured activities and outings. Kids deserve to feel seen and appreciated!

As an art teacher through the Madison Public Library in Madison, Wisconsin, I worked with kids as young as three and as old as sixteen. I taught a wide range of classes and love to use my experience teaching in my at-home childcare work, especially the projects that improve motor skills and creative expression.

I’m also CPR certified, fully vaccinated, and a certified lifeguard, and feel confident taking children on outings to parks, museums, and swimming locations, in addition to having a fun and safe time at home.
