About me

I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA, with my older brother. We lived in a very kid-friendly neighborhood with a library, a park, a public pool, and our elementary school all within walking distance. My closeness to nature and passion for the health of the earth led me to study Environmental Studies and Public Health at New York University. I’m pursuing childcare before I attend graduate school for Environmental Health.

I’ve been working with children for 10 years. I started babysitting for numerous families in my neighborhood at 12 years old. I’ve cared for children of all ages, from infants to preteens. I was an occasional or date night babysitter for years, having at least one job every week. During my senior year of high school, I had my first job that was multiple times a week for the school year. For these siblings, ages 3 and 5, my duties included pick up from daycare, dinner preparation, and putting them down for bed. In college, I was an occasional and date night sitter for a few families in the city. During my sophomore year, I cared for a pair of siblings, ages 1 and 5. We would play in their apartment, the building’s playroom, or on the nearby playground. Last summer, I was a nanny for a 3 and 5 year old near my hometown, from Monday-Friday. My duties included getting the children dressed for the day, preparing breakfast and lunch, reading, playing with them, and safely escorting them to the nearby pond. My most recent position was caring for a 16-month-old boy in NYC. My duties included taking him to Central Park to play, lunchtime, nap time, taking him to classes in the city, meal prep, and light housekeeping.

I love to share my own passion for the environment with the children I care for. I enjoy showing children in the city how to connect to nature, how to nourish it, and why it is so important. I also enjoy encouraging children to follow their passions and favorite hobbies and fostering independence. I love bonding with children, and offering a nurturing, safe, and loving caretaker for them to lean on.
