About me

I grew up in Los Angeles, California as the youngest of three other siblings. I have huge extended family and close group of loyal and loving friends. From a young age, I have always had a nurturing heart. At the age of 13, I started working for a wonderful family of three girls and till this day I am still in close relation to all three of them, plus their parents. I babysat for their family till their youngest was in middle school but continued to pet sit for them after that. At the age of 16 going into my junior year of high school, I got my first professional job at a local summer day camp, Valley Trails Summer Camp. I worked there for ten consecutive summers. I stated off as a camp counselor then was the head lifeguard for a few summers and finished as the camps assistant director before I had moved out of state.

During my college years, I would substitute at my local elementary school as a one on one aid for our regional autism program for students with mild to severe autism. After graduating with a Bachelors degree from California State University of Northridge, I became a full time employee with the school district. I was placed into a wonderful class with students in second to sixth grade and worked there till I moved out of state.

I spent my high school years babysitting and tutoring. At that point, I knew I would always want to work with children. Now working with kids for over 10 years, I hope to achieve my goal in becoming a children's therapists. I see the amazing potential that children have and I want to be someone that they look up to and someone that can make an impact in their life. Children are our future and I feel that it is my job to give them the example of someone who is loving, caring and a good communicator in a generation where there is no communication other than over a screen.

In five years, I hope to be raising a strong and compassionate child of my own as well as pursuing my goal in becoming a children's therapist.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

There is always a lesson to be learned through play no matter what it is. I believe that kids learn best through play whether it be in a group or alone. I hope to provide a valuable lesson through each activity we do.
