About me

I grew up in Bethlehem, PA (the Christmas City of the USA)! I have four brothers, one of which is my identical twin and my youngest brother is adopted from China. While growing up, I loved playing in the world of imagination. My brothers and I would create intricate worlds around us, often pretending we each had special superpowers (my go-to was the power to control the elements). This fueled the love for performance and creativity I still have to this day. I also loved playing sports (basketball, football, kickball, tennis, lacrosse, etc.), prioritized playing outside everyday, singing Disney classics, and reading fantasy stories. I went to Syracuse University where I completed a Bachelors of Science in Television, Radio, and Film along with a minor in Drama. After graduation, I spent a year on the Big Island of Hawaii as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer creating resources and programs for a rural high school. I then got a job as a Production Assistant in NYC and have been in the city since!
     I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I became a full time nanny during the summer months while in college for a family of three boys. The boys were 6, 4, and a newborn when I first started and by the time I ended nannying for them the boys were 11, 9, and 5. During my time with them, I changed diapers, made meals, warmed breast milk bottles, played sports, played imagination, ensured fights were put to an end and genuine apologies made, and drove the older boys to sports practices. While working as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Hawaii, I partnered with my coworker and created an after school program for Elementary School students (age range: 6-10) which focused on teaching students about their island. While studying abroad in Spain, I nannied and tutored four children (triplets age 9 and their younger brother age 5). During this time, I tutored the children in English and assisted them with their homework assignments.
     To this day, I love imagination and performance which I believe allows me to create strong bonds with the children I care for. Their openness to new ideas and their fascination with the world around them motivates me to continue work in child care.
