About me

My name is Myles, born and raised in the Philippines. Residing in Jersey city since 2005. I’m the youngest of 4 siblings. After graduating from college back in my country, my older sister gave birth to an adorable baby girl and I instantly fell in love with her. I dedicated most of my life helping her to take care of her and her baby sister the next year. That’s how I know I love being with children. I moved here with them in 2005 and had the opportunity to be a nanny as a profession ever since then. The children I’ve taken care for ranged from 3 months to 17 years old within private settings in New York City. My love for children was the main reason I chose to be a nanny. I know I am good at it and it is something that I enjoy doing. I mostly enjoy the times when the children show their love for me and their enthusiasm to do things with me. Their young minds, uniqueness, creativity and vast imagination inspire me to be involved in everything they ought to learn. They simply make me happy and make me feel young at heart.

All these years of experience honed my skills in managing schedules, as well as maintaining daily routines depending on children’s age such as feeding, bathing, performing appropriate activities for younger kids to planning, preparing and cooking meals and after school activities for older ones to name a few. I strongly feel that I have the ability and capability to handle the different and changing needs of a child as they grow. I believe in positive approach when it comes to discipline and to take that opportunity to teach. My expectation every time I start with a new family is to have a harmonious environment for everybody, with a goal to enrich the lives of both children and their parents. I have strong work ethic, and I value time.

I love photography and video editing as a hobby so I like taking pictures of the kids I work with and send them to parents, of course only when it’s appropriate and safe to do so. I also love being on the move and I always make use of the opportunity to do so when playing outside with kids.
