About me

Born and raised in Nepal, I was always a very energetic and bubbly child. I grew up with my older sister who was just as active and a social butterfly, and a younger brother. We always were surrounded by tons of people as we all invited them over to our place quite often. Adults were usually busy at work hence, my sister and I quickly adapted to household responsibilities such as, watching over our little brother and managing house chores. I began learning how to cook around the age of 13 and I have always enjoyed cooking ever since. I arrived here in the states at 16. When in high school I used to volunteer as an after-school assistant teacher at a nonprofit after-school program, where I discovered my passion for childcare. After graduating from high school, I continued to work as a tutor for a 7-year-old in my neighborhood.
In college, I started working as an after-school sitter on weekdays for children of various ages between 3-13 years. I would also occasionally work as a sitter for infants, children on the spectrum, or toddlers. Typically, my primary responsibilities were to handle pick up or drop off from school, attend to any after-school activities such as swimming, gymnastics, piano, or chess lessons, and assist with homework, meal prep, and engaging children with fun games and activities, both indoor and outdoor. I also organized playdates etc.
Over the years, I've been privileged enough to have had such vast experiences working with children of various age groups with different needs, interests, and passions. While babysitting these young, curious minds I've also had an opportunity to learn certain skills such as; organization, working under pressure, adaptability, time management, multitasking, and more importantly dependability.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years I hope to have travelled different countries, learn a new skillset, purchase a car and drive interstate. I also aim to visit my families back home for a vacation.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I would love to encourage children how to cook basic meal or bake some cookies or cupcakes and decorate them with some sprinkles. I enjoy playing board games with children so, I’d love to introduce them with any new games they’re unaware of or learn from them. I can also help with homework or projects especially math problems.
