About me

I grew up in West Orange, New Jersey with a brother 2 years older than me. I was a competitive swimmer and gymnast growing up. I studied at Rutgers University, where I received a B.S. in Health Administration and Public Health, with a Certificate in Health Disparities. I am now pursuing an MPA in Health Policy and Management from NYU Wagner! One day, I hope to work in a non-profit healthcare organization that advocates for women's reproductive health rights.

In high school, I started babysitting for local families in my hometown. I then became a swim coach for the local Summer youth swim team, in which I instructed and facilitated practices/swim meets with children 6-18-years old. I did this for 3 summers, alongside lifeguarding and swim instructing. In college, I was a lifeguard and youth swim instructor for Rutgers Recreation. I worked with children of all ages. I facilitated Mommy & Me classes with infants, all the way up to competition swimming with older children. I was also an After School Program Teacher with a STEM company called Bricks 4 Kidz, in which I facilitated a class of 15-30 elementary school students creating models and structures out of LEGOS and battery packs. During COVID-19, I worked with four separate families. I worked for the first family from late March 2020 - July 2020, in which I babysat a pair of 8-year-old twins. From September 2020 - July 2021, I babysat two boys, ages 8 and 10-years old. From June - August, I part-time babysat children from two different families. One family consisted of a pair of 8-year-old twin girls and an 11-year-old boy, and the other family consisted of an 8-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy. With each family, I was responsible for watching the kids while their parents were either at work, or working-from-home. My duties included light meal prep, entertaining the children, working with them on schoolwork, taking them on walks and to local parks, picking them up from school, and driving them to extracurricular activities.

I love to get my kids active and outside - walks, local parks, bike rides! It's important to me that kids get some fresh air, especially because of the past year we all had!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to take my kids outdoors and enjoy the fresh air! This means taking walks, going to local parks, and riding bikes/scooters around the neighborhood. I also love to encourage creativity - activities like drawing, reading, and writing.
