About me

I grew up in sunny Sarasota, Florida as the youngest of two girls. I fell in love with singing, dancing, and acting from an early age and always had an extremely busy schedule. When I wasn't in the dance studio or at rehearsal, I was zooming around my neighborhood on my scooter or bike, or looking up my favorite actors on IMDB and watching every movie they were in. This passion lead me to pursue a degree in Musical Theatre at Florida State University, where I got my BFA last year. After college, I have worked as a nanny, dance teacher, and professional actor.
My mom owns an after school drama program, so I grew up assisting her classes and as a camp counselor in her summer camps. I started attending musical theatre summer intensives in New York City and was eventually asked to be a work-study for the program as well. After college, I got a full-time nanny job for three children ages 7, 5 and newborn. This job included getting the kids ready for school, assisting them throughout their online school day, entertaining and playing with them, making lunch and dinner, while also bottle-feeding the baby, changing diapers, and keeping him happy and engaged. I then worked part-time for a family with 5 and 2 1/2 year old girls. I planned crafts and activities, went on lots of walks and adventures with them, and occasionally was a nighttime sitter which included bath and bedtime. I also taught at two dance studios during this time where I worked with kids of all school ages, from beginner levels to advanced levels. I taught classes in jazz, musical theatre jazz, and contemporary. I really enjoyed sharing my love of dance and teaching choreography, and especially loved the opportunity to work with older kids.
Working with kids has always reminded me to appreciate the little things. Whether it's listening to the trees sway in the wind, making a new friend, or putting on a pretty dress, everything has significance when you stop to take it in. I believe my empathetic and understanding demeanor helps me encourage kids to ask questions, stay curious and creative, and embrace their authentic selves exactly as they are, while also providing guidance, structure, and support.
