About me

From the moment my younger brother was born, my mom said there was no doubt in her mind that I would be working with children in some way, shape or form. She was right. During my college career, I acquired knowledge about the development of children from infancy to school age, but nothing in a textbook could teach me what my experiences have while caring for children. With over eight years of caring for children, I have played many roles including tutor, homework helper, teacher, magician, monster, but most importantly a friend. I have cared for children in all stages of development, from infancy to school-aged, from potty training to teaching the power of words, negative and positive to 4-year-olds. My creativity and “anything is possible” attitude are perfect for days that feel overwhelming.

When children are in my care, I provide a safe, secure environment where they have the opportunity to learn through their experiences. I believe children learn best through their play and when they are given opportunities to use their imagination. There are so many children all over the world who don’t have the chance to experience simple things such as reading books, painting, and imaginary play. This fact is what drives me to provide the absolute best to the children in my care.
