About me

Hello! I'm Katherine, I'm 21 years old and I'm a student here in Boston at Berklee College of Music studying violin performance. I've been taking care of children since about the age of 12 when I would babysit my three younger siblings as well as the children of family and friends.

I've always been a fun and spontaneous person and love to play games, be imaginative, create artworks and crafts, be active, tell stories, make music and learn new things. As a child I loved to play outside with my siblings and pets. Working with kids is amazing because they’re experiencing many things for the first time and I love to help them learn while having fun in a safe and uplifting environment. I am also experienced in teaching music to young children. While finishing my music performance degree I have tutored a few kids from ages 8-13 in music and look forward to continuing teaching after my degree is finished as well. Teaching combined with babysitting has taught me a lot about how to interact with kids and help them learn.

I have 8 years of nanny/babysitting experience, three regular nanny positions and many miscellaneous/one time babysitting jobs. I've worked with ages ranging from infant to preteen. I have experience cooking, driving, tutoring, teaching, nighttime sitting and petsitting.
As a nanny I like to set up arts and crafts for the kids, go on walks outside, take them to places like the aquarium and science museum, help them with schoolwork, do cooking together and read books. I love working with kids of all ages!
