About me

I grew up in Spain with my little sister where I used to take care of her and one of her best friends. They loved dancing and singing! One of the things I enjoyed most during that time was teaching them how to dance as I was taking dance lessons. They loved when I taught them the new steps and choreographed their favorite songs! Following high school I went to art school and obtained a Graphic Design Associates Degree. I then decided that I needed to improve my English and experience living in the USA. I came here through an aupair program and my intentions were to stay for a year, but I extended my time I love spending time with the kids and the family, and of course I also fell in love with New York!

My first experience with kids was in Spain when I took care of a 7 year old girl for 2 years. We used to spend a lot of time together playing, being creative, and going to the playground. My responsibilities were picking her up keeping her entertained. My second experience has been my current job which I started as an aupair. It is a family with 3 kids and when I just started they were 4, 7 and 10 years old. I've been with them 3 years now. My responsibilities are to play with them, drive them to school and after school activities, maintain the play areas, clean, do laundry, prepare them breakfast, lunch and dinner, and arrange playdates with their friends. During the past 3 years I've also been doing some babysitting while my host kids are at school. I took care of a 1 year old boy for a month. My responsibilities were to feed him, play with him, change his diaper, put him to sleep, and bathe him. I've also done some other babysitting for a kids between the ages of 3 and 8. My last position was this past year, taking care of a 3-year-old girl for 4 months, full-time while my host kids were at school. I fed her, played with her, did her laundry, and maintained her play areas.

I am a very artistic person! I like to draw and I love how kids express their own feelings through their drawings. It helps a lot to know a little more about them through art!
