About me

My name is Lilac and I have been a nanny and newborn care specialist for the past 20 years. I have my CPR training, First Aid training, and I am a certified nurse technician. At CUNY I completed my associate certificate in Child Development, which focuses on safety, health, learning environments and and the nine developments which include: Science and Sensory, Language and Literacy, Creativity, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Self Concept Learning Experience, Emotional Skills/ Regulation, Social Skills and Math.

I love children and truly enjoy working and caring for them. I have experience taking care of newborns, premature babies and children as old as 14 years of age. My childcare duties have included infant care, newborn care, helping with a sleep schedule, bathing, feeding, clothing and preparing bottles. Regarding toddlers and older children, I help in daily care, supervision and education. I arrange play dates, encourage the child to participate in different activities that are age appropriate, help with homework, take the children to and from school, lessons and appointments. I run errands, drive the children, tidy up after the children, play, stay overnight or more, and supervise the children when both parents are traveling.

I have worked for families with both parents working out of the home and I also have worked alongside mothers who are home part-time or full-time. I am equally comfortable taking care of children with their parents at home or with parents who work full-time outside of the home. It is important to note that I have worked as a nanny with families for 8, 9 and 12 years and I have cared for children since their day of birth until they were 9-years-old. I have also cared for two families with three children, since their day of birth for nearly 8 and 12 years. As a newborn care specialist and baby nurse, I can take care of a newborn for 24 hours for as long as 3 to 4 months. This includes nighttime care for newborns as needed. As a certified nurse technician and newborn care specialist with CPR and First Aid training, I prove myself to stay calm in all kinds of situations. My goals as a nanny are to ensure the safety and well being of the child and to develop a good relationship with the children, parents and other individuals. I strive to be dependable, thoughtful while creating a fun, safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for the children.

Thank You!

Happy and healthy as I am today and finishing my study of history and education.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love reading and biking, indoor activities and outdoor activities and know that children around me learn by example. Every age can enjoy the outside and inside with activities that they like. I want children of all ages to try to be as independent as they can with my help and find the activities that they enjoy.
