About me

I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and as the youngest of four I enjoyed doing whatever my older siblings did whether that’s dancing, singing, baseball, or football. In fourth grade I started acting professionally which led me to Ball State University where I received my BFA in musical theatre in May 2020. After moving home, I worked at a Mexican bar and grill while also serving as a nanny and homeschool instructor. Most recently, I shot a costar role in the new CW pilot 4400 and moved to New York in May.

My primary work as a full time childcare specialist was this last year where I worked 8 months as a homeschool instructor/nanny for 2 kindergartners and a 5th grader. I also have volunteered as an acting coach with my former elementary school as well as a theatre program for children ages 8-17 for more than 4 years. I instruct sometimes 50 plus children at a time. During the pandemic I began my own business called KellerGrams where I would play guitar and sing at covid-safe distance for clients. Oftentimes I would play 15-60 minute sets for children’s birthday parties where I would engage with the kids.

Why I love to work with kids is I get to inspire them to channel their wealth of imagination. One day I brought over some costumes and we created a movie called Jeantel Poisoning the Princess’s Soup. I loved showing them how to use their creativity to bring something they envisioned to fruition. I also enjoy helping develop communication skills. I recall when one of the kindergartners was upset and wouldn’t talk to anyone. I told him it’s totally ok to cry and that using our words to describe how we feel can help us not feel so crummy. By the end of the year he had a lot more confidence to stand up for himself, make friends, and share his thoughts and feelings. Overall I enjoy providing children the ability to streamline their creativity and communicate better.
