About me

I am a dancer, writer, teacher, yoga enthusiast, and babysitter. I became interested in child care after teaching dance in high school. I loved working with my students at the dance studio, watching them grow and seeing their days brighten as they learned to move their bodies. After establishing relationships with my students, I would occasionally watch them after school or when their parents had a date night. I loved getting to know my students at this level and felt an overwhelming sense of trust. This inspired me to continue with child care throughout college and post-grad. I attended the University of Colorado Boulder where I received a degree in dance, graduating summa cum laude.

Babysitting has given me the opportunity to develop relationships with children, becoming greater friends as I continued to care for them. As an active babysitter, I make sure that I am always engaging with kids, from figuring out how to write the letter R to being giant squids about to be attacked by sharks. I am an avid supporter of play as a means to learning. Letting children’s imagination shine gives me joy. Child care is not always fun and games; therefore, I know how to maintain a safe space by maintaining structure and enforcing house rules. My favorite aspect of babysitting is witnessing children’s discovery, fascination, and growth into intelligent and compassionate human beings.
