About me

I grew up in Venice, California, enjoying the beach. In 2016, I welcomed my baby brother just as I started high school, and my baby sister joined us in my senior year. They’re now 8 and 5, and being involved in their lives has fueled my passion for working with children. I often reflect on my early lessons in patience through toddler tantrums. After high school, I studied acting but now I'm considering a degree in special education or early childhood education to positively influence children’s learning journeys.
I’ve been working with children since I was 13, starting as a babysitter after earning my Red Cross Babysitting Certification. Since 2021, I’ve cared for over 25 families with SmartSitting, adapting to each family's unique needs. My experience includes managing infant naps and feedings, organizing after-school schedules, planning activities like arts and crafts, and assisting with homework. I’ve also helped maintain tidy play areas and handled light household tasks. Earlier in my career, I worked as a part-time nanny for two children, took care of a 1-year-old girl for two years, and supported an infant’s bilingual development. I’m fluent in Spanish, proficient in American Sign Language, and certified in first aid and CPR.
I bring a high-energy, playful approach to my work, believing play is essential for building trust and creating a positive, nurturing environment. My core values are consistency, safety, connection, and play. Consistency is vital because it helps children feel secure and understand what to expect. It ensures that the child’s routine is stable and creates peace of mind for the parents, knowing they have a reliable and professional caretaker for their child. Safety is also vital because it ensures children are always in a protected environment, which means parents can feel confident knowing their child is in capable hands. Connection fosters trust and opens communication, helping a child feel seen and valued. Play is vital for children, offering a joyful avenue to explore, spark creativity, and learn! For parents, it’s reassuring to know their child is enjoying activities that nurture growth and development in a relaxed environment.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In five years, I envision a vibrant career in early childhood education, particularly in special education, possibly even overseas. This direction will allow me to nurture young minds while immersing myself in diverse cultures!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children creative activities like drawing, painting, and storytelling, as these help nurture their imagination and self-expression. I also enjoy sharing outdoor skills such as gardening, nature walks, or simple science experiments, which allow children to explore and appreciate the world around them. Additionally, I’m passionate about introducing children to basic language skills, whether through Spanish, French, or American Sign Language, as I believe learning new languages at a young age helps broaden their communication abilities and fosters inclusivity. Overall, I love seeing children discover new things, and I thrive in helping them build a variety of skills that they can carry with them as they grow.
