About me
Hello, my name is Jada. I am a 20 year old female with 2 siblings. I grew up moving around a lot between Virginia, New York(Long Island and Brooklyn), and Connecticut. so I have a very diverse background. I am a college student( 3rd year) studying Biology Pre-med at Howard University to become a pediatrics doctor! I always wanted to be a doctor or surgeon but I never knew what specific path to take(general, neurology, etc.). Coming from a big family I constantly was around kids who I seemed to have a natural connection with. From there, I decided to take my work with kids seriously and get into babysitting. Getting into college I explored my options and pediatrics was the perfect way to tie in my fun work with kids into my dream job. So now my profession in babysitting goes hand in hand with my future career! I have 3 years of professional experience with kids and over 5 years of non- professional experience. I have tons of nieces, nephews, and cousins all under the age of 5 who I've taken under my wing. They are the reason I started babysitting professionally- because I was a natural with them.
The youngest kid I worked with was 3 months and the oldest currently is 6. With the 3 month old I was working with a single mom who needed care for her baby while she was at work and help getting him on a schedule. I was in charge of getting him on a good nap time and eating schedule. With that I changed diapers, made bottles, and kept the baby stimulated and entertained. We practiced crawling, walking, and establishing noises and sounds. I was with him until he was 7 months. My oldest kid that I work with is 6 and I’ve been around her and her little brother since she was 4. Since she was older and homeschooled we had a more productive and scheduled day. The day included light meal prep, school studies, tutoring, and creative/ stimulating activities.
Because I am a college student most of my long term jobs are short term recurring jobs. Most of my services are upon request. With new families it’s usually a helping hand when their long term nanny isn’t around or they have work complications.
I help with Light Housekeeping, Cooking/Meal Preparation, laundry, and school work.
Kids love me becauseI hate being bored and In technology all day so I'm always looking for new crafts and activities to do with the kids. My approach with kids is communication. We talk about what they like and dislike which creates a trusting bond. It works well with younger kids because it gets them talking! I also have great experience with hyperactive kids and I Am CPR/ First aid certified.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
Reading, puzzles, counting, painting/ coloring. Educational games, outdoor games . I like to teach expression. Instead of crying let’s talk about what’s wrong and what you may want. After communication I like to teach manners(please, thank you, etc.)
