About me

I grew up in Buffalo NY as a middle child of 3 children and when I was young I loved animals, babies, and art. I was raised by a doula and childbirth educator. Being constantly surrounded by families and children, I learned early on the value of community and non-judgmental support and professional guidance in birth, parenting, and early childhood. After graduating from high school, I majored in environmental studies with a passion and commitment to improving our earth but soon realized my real passion was supporting women and families during each transition as parents, and then especially found a love for supporting and guiding children as they grow. I attended my first postpartum workshop in 2019 and certified that year. I am working on certifying as a birth doula and have attended two birth workshops, breastfeeding support classes, and childbirth continuing education.

I have been working as a postpartum doula and nanny for the past 2 years and have been a babysitter for 5 years. I have cared for children ages 3 months to 9 years old and I am passionate about working with babies and toddlers. The last family I supported had a 5 month old baby boy and I did things like changing his diapers, warming up breast milk/making formula bottles, feeding him meals using baby-led weaning, going for walks with the stroller, playing with toys, and doing light housekeeping like doing his laundry and sterilizing bottles. I am skilled in baby-led weaning, infant and toddler sensory activities, baby sign language, comforting touch for infants toddlers and children, babywearing, and breastfeeding support.

I feel that from birth children want to communicate with us and it is important to respect them and find ways to meet them where they are in each stage. I want to help babies grow and feel nurtured while also giving them experiences to help them learn and grow through nature, art, music, and safe spaces to give them room to explore. It is also important to me to support the whole family through each stage and transition of the child’s development and make it a seamless and empowering experience for everyone in the home.
