About me

I grew up on a beautiful southern Caribbean island in a family that was loving and caring. I attended primary and secondary schools there, then worked as a secretary in a medical office before migrating to the United States of America. From an early age, I have always been fond of children, helping to care for my younger siblings and those of close and extended relatives. After becoming a mother myself, I knew that my passion for taking care of children would become my lifetime career. Upon my arrival to the USA, over twenty years ago, I made this a reality when I was granted the opportunity to care for three children in Westchester. I was thrilled, atlas I was fulfilling a lifetime dread. It was on this first job my professional role as a childcare provider took off and began to take shape. The different personality traits of the three siblings, afford me the opportunity to differentiate their daily routines while ensuring that a universal setting was maintained. This ensured each child was given their individual time and attention, without taking away from the others.

I was elated, and immediately felt gratitude for being trusted with such an honorable duty. When those children outgrew my services, I was given another opportunity to work with another family in New York City. Moving away from taking care of three children to now only caring for one, felt strange and it did take me some time to adapt to not having three active, different bubbles of joys running around the house. It was my first time caring for a single child who was not my own. This little girl reminded me so much of my own son, making transitioning to this new role so much easier. My role was much different from that of my previous job since both parents worked very busy schedules, therefore I spent a great deal of the caring for the child in question. My job included but was not limited to, preparing breakfast, scheduling, and taking to doctor's appointments. Grocery shopping, meal preparations, and organizing social and other educational activities. Over the years, I have since worked with families from different states, each bringing their unique system of parental bliss. Each of my jobs has been a unique blend of experiences and opportunities to expand on my craft. I have taken care of infants, toddlers ( twins included) pre-teens, and teens. The wealth of experience has been of great benefit to my career and my overall development.
I took pride in my work then, as I still do today, and will continue doing so for the rest of my career as a childcare provider.

I am a kind and knowledgeable Childcare Provider, who is well-versed in maintaining safe and nurturing environments for children of different ages. Over the past 20 years, I have had the honor of working with multiple children in one setting. I am also an excellent communicator with good organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, and I am very hard working and experienced in planning daily activities, handling dietary restrictions, and maintaining tidy work areas. I am also familiar with the needs of children from infancy to early elementary ages, certified in CPR and First Aid, and have been vaccinated against Covid 19. As my tenure with another family comes to an end, I am once again offering my service to another family. I bring a wealth of experience, smiles, and lots of love and it is my hope that I am once again given this honorable job of caring for another little soul.
