About me

I was born in Manhattan and I have always loved the city. I've been blessed to have always worked in at least three different boroughs and since I live in Yonkers I also worked in Westchester New York. With this being said I have a very unique upbringing. I’m always myself and she is adaptable. I was exposed to many different walks of life and I have never stayed stagnant to one borough or neighborhood. This is such a blessing because I’m always ready for an adventure or ready to learn. I have one sibling and we are roommates. I graduated from borough of Manhattan community college with my associates in Liberal Arts and then recently in 2020 from John Jay college of Criminal Justice. I Studied English and Political Science.

I've been a nanny, a child care provider at a domestic violence nonprofit, and of course a date night sitter. I have many families who still trust me even if I am no longer full time and they call me for a last minute babysitter. I’ve been fortunate that all of my nanny families have been flexible while I was undergrad and it will be a new experience to be free from school and volunteering instead. I look to grow with a family for a few years while I take night or weekend classes, and virtual classes primarily for my Masters when I decide to apply.

At the young age of 16 I learned to always stick to the rules of parents when it comes to their child. You do not want to confuse them, the goals of childhood are learning life skills while enjoying everyday life. I learned a lesson while one parent was trying to teach her child the value of a dollar - he did not have enough to buy his toy and I gave him more money. The problem is he did not earn it, the money he had to spend was hard earned coins when he did chores. She spoke to me about this and he had to return it. I've babysat for infants and children to the age of 12. I've done pick up and drop off, meal prep and after school activities, I've looked after pets. However this lesson stayed with me and is the most helpful one when I think about how to be a great nanny and how to learn from both the parents and child.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I hope to be done with my Masters and more sure of where I want to take my career in social justice. I hope to have become somewhat of an expert at snowboarding and camping, I'm excited for who that woman will be.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I would love to teach them that they have a voice and so I'm here to listen, I want to see what they're passionate about and praise that so they always know passion is always a value. Activities that require teamwork and teaching will help me to better understand them as well.
